What shall be discussed at Wine Paris / Vinexpo 2026?

In 2025, the discourse centered upon ‘Trump and Wine in the United States’ and ‘Which do you prefer: Wine Paris or ProWein Düsseldorf?’

And this year?

Wine Paris 2026 shall concern itself with No/Lo, Artificial Intelligence, New Generations, India, Chinese wine, and markets to be prospected in search of new opportunities.

One shall encounter a considerable gathering this year at Wine Paris—as much on the exhibitors’ side as among the visitors. There will be those particularly coveted stands, such as that of Champagne House Henri Giraud, along with extraordinary evening affairs, like that of the Primum Familiae Vini association, where the world’s most distinguished wines shall be assembled around singular familial values.

For my part, then, I stand prepared.

Should I be asked: Does No/Lo hold a future if experience proves the gateway to younger generations?
I shall respond: Between visiting Haut-Brion and touring a dealcoholization facility, which would you choose?

Should I be asked: Will artificial intelligence revolutionize our manner of drinking and communicating within the wine world?
I shall respond: Might the new Ask Google become the Robert Parker of years to come?

Should I be asked: Is wine dying a slow death on account of young people’s health consciousness?
I shall respond: Are you quite certain that younger generations consume less alcohol than their elders? And perhaps I shall venture further: And you—at what age did you begin drinking wine?

And should I finally be asked: India—do you believe in it?
I shall respond: My recent journey to New Delhi leaves me doubtful, so labyrinthine is the taxation system, operating not solely at the national level but equally at the regional.

As for Chinese wines (upon which I have already written) and the markets deserving close scrutiny in 2026, I have indeed formed my own notions…See you there and let’s talk about it!
