Famille Perrin nets new fans with Shazam ! At Famille Perrin, the biggest vineyard owners in the southern Rhône Valley, the QR Code has been present on the back label of its bottles for several years. Yet do consumers make much use of them? No, quite simply for practical reasons. Reading a QR Code is not easy and requires downloading a reader so in the end few people bother. That is why Famille Perrin has decided, once again, to innovate the wine world by offering to “shazam” its bottles.

Thanks to its digital content management tool Vin.co, Famille Perrin now benefits from a solution that will hugely increase the number of users through Shazam, an app that 100 million people worldwide can access very easily. In effect, Shazam has incorporated a Vin.co QR code scanner so that a wine back label can now be read quickly and simply. This is a truly strategic tool which offers the end consumer regularly up-dated information in real time. With this solution the company is also reaching out to a younger public, adept at social media.
