This is a wine with a light colour. At first nose it may appear too strong in alcohol but then when you drink it you get a nice balance. Even if it is a big wine, a good Barolo has never been a “heavy wine”, it is easy to drink. We enjoyed this one with simple food and the tannins made the wine even nicer after a first glass. Then you think about your coming summer holidays and you dream about Italy, a good trattoria, a lovely weather and the quietness of a late night in a narrow street of a piemontese village. Delightful.
