According to Foster’s management, US will see a nice rebound within the 12 months for premium wines. In a price range of $8 to $20, the premium wine market is now a major focus in Foster’s strategy who is fairly confident about a return to the rosy trading environment before the onset of the global financial crisis. In fact, since 2007, this crisis decimated wine sales in North America and led many consumers to opt for cheaper and low-margin bottles of wine. This time seems over for the owner of the Treasury Wine Estates portfolio which includes brands such as Penfold’s, Beringer, Chateau St. Jean, Lindemans, Wolf Blass, Rosemount, Wynns Coonawarrra Estate, Stags’ Leap Winery and many others.
