There is no need to introduce Weingut Bründlmayer from Austria. This wine estate is listed among the best producers in this country and is highly regarded for its wines made with Grüner Veltliner. This week, Edwige Bründlmayer made some comments about the coming harvest at the estate: “Grapes look beautiful even if it is a difficult vintage. Flowering took much time – over 3 weeks – and rain was pertubating during the summer. It will have an impact on yields, overall we will have 30% less in production compared to last year. Fortunately, up to now september gave us a nice weather, exactly what we were expecting. Harvests may start next week for our production of sparkling wines. Then we will see…” Among others, Weingut Bründlmayer produces a delicious Riesling Heilingenstein and an affordable Grüner Veltliner “Kampstaler Terrassen”. Wines are good when young, easy to drink with a nice complexity, but the most impressive part is their ageing potential.
