A HUGE DAY FOR WINE AND TURKEY LOVERS NOT TO BE MISSED !
Tricky job finding the right wine to go with the variety of tastes, textures and aromas that make up the never-ending “repas”. This international #HugelDay is about to remind all wine lovers that Famille Hugel, of course, has a wine for each and every course ! But what would Famille Hugel recommend to have on #HugelDay ? Here are some favorite picks :

GENTIL, a.k.a. every person’s ‘gentle’ wine. Gentil shows pure, fresh aromas and is very fruit-driven and floral. Dry and youthful, a perfect wine chilled for saltwater and freshwater seafood, shellfish, as well as foie gras—the perfect appetizers!

– The Turkey, with all its trimmings, deserves a wine that can stand up to robust and rich savory dishes: a classic Pinot Gris, one of Famille Hugel’s well-kept secrets. Quite intense and deep-colored wine, its bouquet is characteristically open and expressive with fully ripe fruit notes of apricots, buttery brioche, pistachio and hazelnut. A wine great for all those blends of flavors that go in, and outside, of the Turkey.

Riesling Grossi Laüe is certainly another option – a much dryer version and one to blend nicely with white and dark meat and that beautifully roasted skin. Riesling is a top pick for pairing with the sweet and savory dishes due to its inherent flavors of apple, apricot, and honey. Its clarifying acidity gives it a significant pairing edge with the likes of sweet potatoes, turkey meat and spice-laden or herb-filled stuffing.

– Finish your [first round of] Thanksgiving extravaganza with all the desserts that come with America’s favorite holiday ! Pecan Pie; Apple Pie; Pumpkin Pie; all sort of cookies; brownies, fruit, tarts, etc.! Yet another ‘best part of the meal’! A dessert lover can only relish more sweet stuff and Famille Hugel Gewürztraminer (or Vendange Tardive or Sélection de Grains Nobles) will satisfy any sweet tooth !

Looks like a happy #HugelDay in the US… And you, how will you celebrate #HugelDay ?
