Last thursday, Carol Duval-Leroy – CEO Champagne Duval-Leroy – won the ‘Prix du Rayonnement Français 2015’ in the category of Gastronomy (Award For the Promotion of French Culture). The ‘Grand Prix du Rayonnement Français’(Award For the Promotion of French Culture) was created in 2009 under the patronage of the French President to recognize an individual’s actions in the international promotion of France, its heritage and traditions.
Carol Duval-Leroy: “It is an immense honor to receive this Grand Prix, it is the reward for all our work : our viticulture that is High Environmental Value certified, the creation of gastronomic Premier and Grand Cru cuvees, and the 100% in-house production of our champagnes. The Grand Prix also acknowledges the investments made, both in financial and human terms, in communicating our country’s prestige and the attributes of Champagne Duval-Leroy around the world.”

In 1991 Carol Duval-Leroy found herself at the head of the family champagne house following the premature death of her husband. In 20 years this visionary woman has overseen the serene development of the establishment both in the French market and internationally. Champagne Duval-Leroy employs sustainable methods to cultivate their Premier and Grand Cru vineyards situated at the tip of the Côte des Blancs, land of the great Chardonnays. Transmission, innovation and femininity are the watchwords of this champagne house that produces over 3.9 million bottles a year, 60% of which are exported.
